Members organize and participate in projects that they are interested in. Projects can range from small engineering projects, to cutting up DNA at the Genomics lab among other lab activities. Members will get the opportunity to receive ACTUAL lab experience and develop important skills required in industry.
Student members visit local universities for campus tours and seminars to help with the transfer process. This helps the students get a sense of what their future campus will be like.
We visit different facilities within the Bay Area to get an idea of what professionals may be doing in industry. From tours of Dinan Performance, Lawrence Berkeley National labs, we hope to provide students with additional resources so that they can better position themselves for internships and co-ops.
We hope to organize a career panel for those who have been a practicing professional in STEM fields to help benefit students by providing them with real-life experience and tips. Dates are TBD
